My name is Amara Selene, better known as The Fruitarian Aquarian.
My journey toward embracing healthy eating and redefining self-care has been one of transformation—fueled by a deep desire for growth and freedom. This path, though personal, is universal in its message: the power to change is within us all, and it starts with what we nourish ourselves with.
Growing up, I didn’t fully grasp how deeply what I consumed affected my overall well-being—physically, mentally, and emotionally. Like so many, I was caught in generational habits, placing convenience and familiarity over balance and health. I experienced moments of joy, but also periods of pain and struggle, shaping my relationship with food and my body.
As a teenager, I struggled with my weight and the emotional weight that came with it. At 18, I reached a turning point. I realized I wanted to create a life where I felt free, healthy, and empowered—not out of shame, but from a place of self-love. It was then that I embraced whole foods and plant-based living, a choice that soon blossomed into a lifestyle full of compassion, mindfulness, and abundance. Over the last nine years, I’ve learned how fruits, natural ingredients, and vibrant flavors not only nourish the body, but also feed the soul.
The Fruitarian Aquarian was born from this journey, a way for me to share the lessons I’ve learned along the way. I believe that healthy eating doesn’t have to be restrictive or difficult. It can be indulgent, joyful, and deeply satisfying. My recipes focus on the natural sweetness of fruits, their ability to hydrate and fuel us, and the energy they provide to help us live our fullest, healthiest lives. But this is more than just about food—this is about shedding old habits that no longer serve us, just as I did.
I know healing is a journey, and food is only one part of it. My story isn’t defined by what I left behind, but by what I’ve gained: clarity, confidence, and the understanding that it’s never too late to create a life of intention and well-being.
